American 9310A

This sharp and tough American 9130A was used on a fabrication yard in Singapore (SG), it is a 450,000 lbs (204.12 tonnes) crawler cranes. In the meantime is this crane not in use anymore.

Standard was the 9130A powered by a Cummins N14-C335, a 14-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 250 kW (335 hp). Optionally was it possible to choose for a Detroit Diesel 6V92, a 9.5-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 254 kW (340 hp).

The undercarriage is 29'-2" (8.58 meters) long and 20'-7" (6.27 meters) wide. The crane is fitted with two 40,000 lbs (18.14 tonnes) hoist winches.

The A-frame has a maximum height of 30'-4 7/8' (9.27 meters). For the transport over the road is it possible to fold the A-frame down.

Attached to the superstructure is a four-part counterweight with a total mass of 140,000 lbs (63.5 tonnes). The counterweight has a 17' (5.18 meter) tailswing.

A sharp detail are the mechanically driven tracks. A single track is 29'-2" (8.58 meters) long and 44' (1.12 meters) wide.

A detail of the rollers of the slew connection.

This crane is fitted with main boom type 77H, the base length is 70' (21.3 meters) and can be increased in length in steps of 10' (3.05 meters) to a maximum length of 240' (73.2 meters).

Here was the crane fitted with a 140' (42.7 meter) long main boom. In this configuration is the crane able to hoist maximum 206,680 lbs (93.67 tonnes) at a 25' (8 meter) radius or 20,350 lbs (9.48 tonnes) to a radius of 140' (42 meters). A very sharp and interesting crane!
