Coles RT2000 - De Bruyn Watersport Service

This interesting and rare Coles RT2000 is used on the yard of De Bruyn Watersport Service in Weesp (NL) to hoist smaller boats in and from the water.

It is a lattice boom crane with crawler carrier. The crawler carrier is only used to relocate the crane on the job site, during lifting operations is it required that the crane is supported by outriggers. Driving with load is not possible.

The crawler crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 70 tonnes. Attached to the superstructure is approx. 20 tonnes of counterweight.

The outrigger base measures 5.45 meters by 6.6 meters.

This crane was produced in the Coles factory in Duisburg (DE) and mainly German components were used, only the slewing ring came from England.

The crane is powered by a Deutz diesel engine. The outriggers on the front of the carrier are required to offer stability when the boom is erected. These outriggers could also be mounted on the other side of the carrier.

This crane is fitted with two hoist winches and a luffing winch for the main boom.

The main boom has a maximum length of 45 meters and could be extended by an optional jib with a 15 meter length. A very sharp crane that is still in use by De Bruyn Watersport Service!
