During an early morning are the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 and Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1, both of Bok Seng from Singapore (SG), prepared to hoist a large yarcht into the water.
The LTM 1750-9.1 is until today still the largest mobile crane in the fleet of Bok Seng. It is a 750-tonne crane with year of manufacture 2014.
The outrigger base measures 12 x 12 meters, the crane is fitted with the full counterweight of 204 tonnes.
The LTM 1500-8.1 has year of manufacture 2013.
The outrigger base measures 10 x 9.6 meters.
Here was the crane fitted with 105 tonnes of counterweight.
The yacht "Dawn Treader" was taken out of the water shortly for some maintenance. The yacht weights around 93 tonnes.
The lifting would commence on a short term. The LTM 1500-8.1 has the main boom extended to a length of 42.1 meters. The LTM 1750-9.1 has the main boom extended to a length of 43.7 meters and is using the YSL superlift.
The LTM 1750-9.1 is lifting now 75 tonnes in total, the LTM 1500-8.1 is lifting here in total 23 tonnes.
After the yacht is lifted from its supports will both cranes only boom down until the yacht is hanging above the water.
Both crane will lower the yacht into the water at a radius of approx. 22 meters.
Later that day was the LTM 1750-9.1 parked at the yard again. In transit is the crane 22 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The total mass is approx. 142 tonnes.
Also the LTM 1500-8.1 stood parked on the yard, this crane is 21.4 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall during the transport over the road. This crane weights around 110 tonnes in this configuration. A sharp job done by Bok Seng!
