This sharp Demag AC 220-5 belongs to Sin Demag from Singapore (SG). It is a 220-tonne crane mounted on a five-axle carrier. During a weekend stood the crane parked along the road in an industrial area. Based on the colours of the crane, is this an old crane of Huationg (Asia).
The carrier is powered by a Scania DC13, a 12.7-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 405 kW (551 hp). The axles 3, 4 and 5 are powered, all axles are steerable.
Sin Demag is a subsidiary of Sin Tokyo that is mainly renting concrete pumps. Sin Demag had two cranes, a 100-tonner and this 220-tonner, in their fleet. Both cranes are sold now, this AC 220-5 is now in use by Pollisum from Singapore.
The crane is fitted with an eight-part main boom with a 12.8 meter base length and extends seven times to a maximum length of 78 meters.
The outrigger base measures 8.86 x 8.4 meters, or half 8.86 x 5.54 meters. During the transport over the road are 13.1 tonnes of counterweight stored on the carrier.
Next to the base section of the main boom is the 11.4 - 21.0 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib stored. The jib can be hydraulically adjusted between 0 and 40 degrees.
In transit is the crane 14.59 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall.
At the rear of the carrier is another counterweight slab with a 5.6 tonne mass stored, on top are the outrigger plates stored. The full counterweight of this crane weights 70.2 tonnes, where of this crane brings 18.7 tonnes. The tailswing of the counterweight is 4.99 meters. This crane is fitted with two 9.8-tonne hoist winches that are both fitted with a 21 mm hoist wire rope.
The total mass of this crane is approx. 82 tonnes.
