IHI CCH2800

Tiong Woon

This impressive IHI CCH2800 belongs to Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) and was deployed there at a storage yard for precast concrete elements and modules. It is a 280-tonne crawler crane.

The crawler undercarriage is 9.18 metres long and 7.62 metres wide. The crane is powered by an 8.9-litre 6-cylinder Cummins QSL diesel engine with an output of 242 kW (325 hp).

The upper structure is equipped with a 9-piece counterweight system with a total mass of 87 tonnes. The counterweight has a slewing radius of 6 metres. The undercarriage carries a total of 16 tonnes of central ballast, consisting of one 8-tonne block on each side.

The boom has a base length of 18 metres and can be extended in 3-metre increments to a maximum length of 90 metres. The crane is equipped with two 12.5-tonne hoist winches, each fitted with 28 mm hoist rope. Both winches are in use here.

This crane was configured with a 42-metre main boom. In this configuration, and with the correct reeving applied, the crane can lift up to 112.5 tonnes at a 9.2-metre radius or 18 tonnes at a radius of up to 38 metres.
