IHI CCH1500E - Yew Choon

This sharp IHI CCH1500E belongs to Yew Choon from Singapore (SG) and is used for general lifting duties in their yard. It is a 150-tonne crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Hino EF750, a 16.75-litre 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 205 kW (275 hp). The diesel engine powers the hydraulic pumps.

The undercarriage is 8.84 meters long and 6.59 meters wide. For the transport over the road have the tracks to be separated from the body.

The A-frame has a total height of 8.39 meters and can be folded down for transport. To erect main boom with a length exceding 69 meters in length is an additional strut required between the A-frame and the main boom.

A four-piece counterweight with a total mass of 50 tonnes is attached to the superstructure. The counterweight has a 6.24 meter tailswing.

In the background we can see the IHI CCH1500-2 working.

There is no central counterweight attached to the body. The crane is supported by the four jack-up cylinders when the tracks are removed from the undercarriage.

A single track is 8.84 meters long, 1.07 meters wide and 1.29 meters tall.

The main boom has an 18 meter base length and can be extended in steps of 3 meters to a maximum length of 81 meters. Attached to the main boom head is a 1.5 meter fixed jib, but that isn't in use here.

The crane was fitted here with a 36 meter main boom, in this configuration is the crane able to hoist maximum 81.5 tonnes on a 9 meter radius of 13.7 tonnes up to a 32 meter radius. A very sharp crane of Yew Choon!
