Kobelco 7120S

Huationg (Asia)

This impressive Kobelco 7120S of Huationg (Asia) from Singapore (SG) was deployed locally for the construction of a new school. It is a 120-tonne crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Hino P11C-VH, a 10.52-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 271 kW (363 hp). The diesel engine drives a total of four hydraulic pumps. The undercarriage of the crane is 7.895 metres long and 6.31 metres wide. A nine-piece counterweight with a total mass of 53.11 tonnes is mounted to the upper structure. The counterweight has a slewing radius of 4.95 metres.

The luffing jib has a base length of 22.9 metres and a maximum length of 44.2 metres.

With this type of luffing jib, the jib can be folded beneath the main boom, which is particularly useful on confined construction sites. A disadvantage is that the main boom must always be longer than the jib.

Here, the crane was configured with a 30.4 metre main boom and a 25.9 metre luffing jib. A very fine crane by Huationg (Asia)!
