Liebherr LTM 1300/1

Mammoet

This impressive Liebherr LTM 1300/1 of Mammoet from Schiedam (NL) was deployed in the centre of Amsterdam (NL) to lift a bridge deck. It is a 300-tonne crane mounted on a 6-axle carrier.

The crane itself was erected on a temporary bridge. The carrier of the crane is powered by a Liebherr D9408 TI-E, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 440 kW (598 hp). This diesel engine drives axles 1, 3, 5 and 6. Here, the crane was set up with a ballast of 87.5 tonnes, which has a slewing radius of 5.6 metres.

The outrigger base measures 8.86 x 8.5 metres, or half 8.86 x 5.58 metres. The superstructure is powered by a Liebherr D924 TI-E, a 4-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 180 kW (245 hp). This diesel engine drives four hydraulic pumps.

The five-section main boom has a base length of 15 metres and telescopes four times to a maximum length of 60 metres. Here, the main boom is extended to a length of 35.7 metres. The boom suspension lies on the boom and was not in use here.

Here, the crane lifts the bridge deck onto the bearings. The bridge deck was delivered by pontoon.

When stowed, the crane is 19 metres long, 3 metres wide and 4 metres high. The transport weight is approximately 72 tonnes. A very impressive crane from Mammoet!
