This Sennebogen 5500 of Michielsens from De Meern (NL) was deployed on a large construction site in Zaandam (NL). It is a 180-tonne crawler crane.

The undercarriage is 8.5 metres long and 6.8 metres wide. A total of 26 tonnes of central ballast is mounted on the undercarriage. The crane is powered by a Caterpillar C9 with an output of 261 kW (355 hp).

A total of 60 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure, consisting of a 12-tonne base plate and a total of ten blocks of 4.8 tonnes each. The slewing radius of the ballast is 6 metres.

The superstructure is equipped with two 15-tonne hoist winches and a luffing winch for the main boom. The luffing winch for the luffing jib is mounted in the boom foot section of the main boom.

Here, the crane was configured in SHWS configuration. The main boom has a length of 52.3 metres and the luffing jib is 24.3 metres long in this setup. In this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 24.9 tonnes at a radius of 14 metres or 17.3 tonnes up to a radius of 30 metres. A fine crane from Michielsens, a company that no longer exists today.
