This fine Terex AC 100/4L was operated by Sin Tokyo from Singapore (SG). It is a 100-tonne mobile crane mounted on a 4-axle carrier. Nowadays, this crane is operated by another company in Singapore, and Sin Tokyo only rents out concrete pumps.
The carrier is powered by an MTU 340-4 diesel engine with an output of 340 kW (462 hp). The diesel engine drives axles 1, 2 and 4, all axles are steerable.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.12 x 7.2 metres, or half 8.12 x 4.72 metres.
In transport mode the crane is 13.24 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and 3.9 metres high. In this configuration the crane weighs around 66 tonnes.
The upper structure is fitted with 4.5 tonnes of counterweight as standard. A 6-tonne counterweight slab, carrying the outrigger pads on top, is transported at the rear of the carrier.
The crane is equipped with a 6.8-tonne hoist winch.
At the front of the carrier, 9.7 tonnes of counterweight are carried. This crane therefore carries 20.2 tonnes of counterweight, which is the maximum that can geometrically be carried by the crane. Two additional hang-on slabs are required to make up the full 25.2 tonnes of counterweight.
This crane is the L-version and therefore fitted with the six-section 59.4-metre-long main boom. Optionally, the main boom can be extended with a 10.1 or 19-metre-long folding jib.
A tough crane of Sin Tokyo!
