Terex AC 250-1 - Tiong Woon

This sharp Terex AC 250-1 of Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) was used to load heavy components of a tower crane onto trucks. It is a 250-tonne mobile crane with telescopic boom mounted on a 6-axle carrier.

The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine with a power of 440 kW (598 hp). The axles 2, 4, 5 and 6 are powered, the axles 1 to 3, 5 and 6 are steerable.

The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 5.54 meters.

The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine with a power of 210 kW (286 hp). The crane is able to move all movements at the same time.

The 7-part main boom has a 14.5 meter base length and extends six times to a maximum length of 80 meters. Next to the main boom is hanging a 10.4 - 20 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib that is adjustable between 0 and 40 degrees with hydraulic cylinders. The maximum hook height is this configuration is about 95 meters!

Attached to the superstructure is a 39.9 tonne counterweight. The full counterweight is 96.6 tonnes and has a 5.6 meter tailswing. During the transport over the road is the crane able to bring 15 tonnes on the carrier.

Here was the Liebherr 24 HC 1000 ECE climbing cage lifted, the climbing cage weights without platforms approx. 20 tonnes.

The main boom is extended to a length of 38.5 meters.
