This is the second MAN TGX 41.680 of Yew Choon from Singapore (SG). The trucks are both locally for various heavy haulage jobs used. Here was this truck for the transport of the new Liebherr LR 1750/2, between the port and Yew Choon's yard, deployed.
The combination exists out of a ballasted MAN TGX 41.680 with a 12-axle towed Goldhofer trailer.
Here is the 12-axle modular trailer loaded with the superstructure of the crawler crane, the superstructure is 15.8 meters long, 3 meters wide and 2.72 meters tall with the transport struts. The mass of the superstructure is 60.6 tonnes. Further are two outriggers and ballast slabs of the hook loaded on the trailer.
The truck has a reinforced bumper so that it can be used to push trailers or the brake heavy transports as well.
The 4-axle truck with 8x4-drive line is powered by a MAN D2863, a 16.2-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 500 kW (680 hp). Behind the front axle is the muffler mounted.
Behind the cabin are the 900 liter diesel tank, a 300 liter hydraulic oil tank, compressed-air tanks and a large cooler for the hydraulic oil mounted. The truck is equiped with a WSK 440 torque converter. The truck is allowed for train weights up to 250 tonnes.
On top of the driven rear axles is a ballast box with a mass of 22 tonnes mounted.
Together with the Scania R 620 that was transporting a crawler track, arrived the MAN TGX 41.680 at the yard. After the lunch break would both combinations be unloaded. Sharp combinations of Yew Choon!
