Scania R 730
Hoysan
This impressive Scania R 730 of Hoysan from Singapore (SG) was commissioned in 2020. It is a 3-axle truck with a 6x4 drive configuration, primarily used for heavy transport. Here, the truck was deployed together with the other R 730 of Hoysan to transport heavy loads.
The truck is powered by a Scania DC16, a 16.4-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 537 kW (730 hp). Both rear axles are driven.
On this side, the battery and the diesel tank are mounted behind the front axle.
A ballast box is mounted above the driven rear axles to ensure sufficient axle load on these axles. This truck is also used with coupled trailers.
The truck is equipped with a reinforced bumper with an additional trailer coupling, allowing trailers to be pushed as well. Behind the front axle, the exhaust silencer, AdBlue tank, and air reservoirs are mounted.
Here, a 10-axle Cometto platform trailer is being towed, assembled from 6- and 4-axle modules.
Unfortunately, I cannot specify exactly what the load is, but it is used for offshore piling operations and was manufactured by IHC. The weight of the load is 71 tons.
